Nebraska Countdown to Kickoff: No. 45 RB Izaac Dickey
Just 45 days remain until kickoff of Nebraska football program’s 125th season. In the player spotlight with officially a month and a half to go before August 31 is Nebraska freshman running back Izaac Dickey. The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Dickey walked-on to the Huskers this offseason after officially committing to the program last June. Dickey is a native of Stromsburg, Nebraska and had a terrific career at Cross County High School where he was a three-year starter at fullback for the Cougars. During his high school career, Dickey totaled nearly 1,800 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns. He was also a standout on defense with over 200 career tackles. With the Huskers, Dickey will be a valuable depth piece in the backfield.
