SUMMIT, NJ -- The July Summit Free Market events will be held on Saturday, July 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Friday, July 26, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Transfer Station located at 40 New Providence Ave. Summit residents can stop by and drop off any unwanted yard-sale quality items and browse other donated items for free. Summit residents must have a permit to access the Transfer Station to attend. Summer Recipe: Grilled Blackened Pork Chop with Peach-Mango Salsa

IngredientsCLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER 4 garlic cloves, minced 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, divided 1 1/2 Tbs avocado oil 1 1/2 Tbs Cajun seasoning 4 boneless center-cut pork chops (about 1½ pounds) 3 containers (4 ounces each) peach and mango fruit cups in coconut water 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped 1 red bell pepper, chopped 1/3 cup chopped red onion 1 tsp lime zest Directions Prepare outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium-high heat. In small bowl, stir garlic, 2 tablespoons cilantro, oil, seasoning and ½ teaspoon kosher salt; rub over pork chops and let stand 15 minutes. In large bowl, toss fruit cups, tomatoes, pepper, onion, lime zest and remaining 2 tablespoons cilantro. Makes about 3½ cups. Place pork chops on hot grill rack; cover and cook 8 minutes or until grill marks appear and internal temperature reaches 145°, turning once. Serve pork chops topped with salsa. City of Plainfield Announces Thursday Night Movies for July
PLAINFIELD, NJ — Continuing its tradition, the City of Plainfield announced its Thursday night movies for July, to be shown on the lawn at City Hall. While last year had four movies, this year will feature two. These showings typically start at dusk, which is around 8:30pm this time of year. On July 11, residents are invited to watch Kung Fu Panda 4, the latest in a series that came out in March of this year.
