Susice Scores Emotional Win At Ransomville
RANSOMVILLE, NY – Dave Conant from Niagara Falls, NY was victorious in the 2nd Annual Kyle Inman Tribute race for the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman at the Ransomville Speedway Friday night. Ryan Susice from Wilson, NY scored a very emotional win in the Krown Undercoating 358 Modified feature. Nigel Pendykoski from Niagara Falls, Ontario won the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature. Cole Susice from Ransomville, NY won his third Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks feature of the season. Stirling Lubricants and Firefighters Association of the State of New York (FASNY) presented the racing action.
Todd, Nevins take home Porter Cup victories
LEWISTON, N.Y. — The 65th edition of the Porter Cup, one of the top amateur events in golf, is in the books at Niagara Falls Country Club. On the men's side, Chase Nevins of Great Falls, Va., finished the tournament at 11 under par to earn the victory. Nevins entered the final hole tied with Tonawanda native and Canisius University golfer Ryan Edholm, but Edholm made bogey while Nevins made par to take home the win.

Canisius golfer Ryan Edholm posted a five-under par score of 65 in the second round of the 2024 Porter Cup Thursday morning, putting him in the clubhouse with a tournament score of 134 (-6) after 36 holes of play at Niagara Falls Country Club. Edholm, Canisius' top golfer during the 2023-24 season, fired a one-under 69 on Wednesday in the first round of the Porter Cup, which is considered one of the top amateur golf tournaments in the world. Kendall Todd shot rounds of 71-68-69-67 to get to 5-under and win the 2024 Women's Porter Cup at Niagara Country Club in Lewiston, N.Y. Todd saved her best for last, firing a bogey-free 3-under 67 to get to 5-under and defeat Nicole Gal, who finished in solo second place at 3-under. Gal was the 54-hole leader at 4-under, but a final round 1-over 71 saw Todd pass her on the leaderboard.
