Would Olivia Flowers Return to Southern Charm After Being Fired?

Season 9 of Southern Charm was a heavy one. Olivia Flowers discovered that her ex-boyfriend, Austen Kroll, had a romantic encounter with her friend, Taylor Ann Green. Although Olivia and Austen were broken up when Austen and Taylor locked lips, it still felt like a betrayal. After all this drama, Olivia was surprised when she wasn’t asked back for Season 10 of the show. Now she is sharing her thoughts about her exit, and a possible return to Southern Charm.

Olivia Flowers may have been fired, but she is a Southern Charmer at heart

Olivia appeared on the Two Ts In A Pod podcast and shared her feelings about being let go. She was shocked when she was fired because she felt that she had “a strong” season. In January 2023, Olivia’s brother, Conner Flowers , passed away. Her grief was a large part of Season 9.

In addition, Olivia felt that the producers weren’t exactly transparent about why her contract wasn’t renewed. Before production started on Season 10 of Southern Charm, Olivia began dating Alex Williams. “If ya’ll want to go in another direction, and like get a single girl, who wants to have fun and sleep with other cast members,” Olivia stated, “just say that.”

Podcast host Tamra Judge asked Olivia if she “would ever go back to the show” if given the chance. “Yeah, definitely,” Olivia said after a short pause. “I enjoyed the whole process. I really did. Like I said, I was bummed not to be asked back,” she added.

Did producers feel like Olivia wasn’t linked to Charleston anymore?

“A lot of people think I made the choice, like, I have this new relationship and I’m choosing another path ,” Olivia previously explained. The decision to exit was not hers. In a phone call with production, it was clear that they didn’t feel like Olivia had a strong connection to Charleston anymore.

According to Olivia, producers stated, “We’re noticing on your Instagram you’re in Texas, you’ve got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you’re choosing a different path.”

Well, maybe Olivia will be asked back in the future to showcase her new life. That would be wonderful after all the chaos that she endured during Season 9 courtesy of Taylor and Austen.
