City Working to Find Reasons for Sewer Backups
–The City of Algona is working with a pair of engineering firms to try and find solutions for residents impacted by sewer back ups earlier this year. Carroll Chamber Readies For Ridiculous Day, Live + Local, And Mini Golf In Depot Park On Thursday
Tomorrow (Thursday) marks a big day for the Carroll Chamber of Commerce and its affiliate group, the Carroll Young Professionals (CYP), as Ridiculous Day, Live + Local, and mini-golf coincide near the downtown district. The Ridiculous Day sale features stellar discounts and dozens of businesses throughout the community. Chamber staff will give away $35 in chamber bucks every half hour from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. To be eligible to win, participants must register using a ticket from one of the participating businesses, a list of which is included with this story on our website. CYP opens its mini-golf course in the Depot Centre Park at 5:30 p.m., where adults and kids can golf for just $5.
