Portage County Health District hosting pop-up food pantry Thursday afternoon

The Portage County Health District will host a pop-up food pantry at its location, 999 East Main Street in Ravenna, on Sept. 5 from 1 to 3 p.m.

It is in partnership with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank .

Also available will be:

• Portage County Ohio WIC registration and card loads.
• Pack ‘n Play/Safe Sleep education.
• Car seat checks and distribution.
• Project Dawn kits and education.
• Nursing services.

Health district community partners present will include:

• UH Portage Medical Center providing blood pressure checks and education.
• United Way of Portage County with adult diapers and the Imagination Library.
• Children's Advantage , Portage Learning Centers , The Children's Advocacy Center of Portage County , I Support the Girls — Northeast Ohio , and more.

Pop-up food pantries are also scheduled at the same time on Oct. 3, Nov. 7 and Dec. 5.
