Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante Shares Details About HWY 141 Collision Near Perry
A representative from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office sheds light on the traffic-related incident that occurred just outside of Perry on July 24th. Dallas County Sheriff Adam Infante tells Raccoon Valley Radio that two people were involved in the crash by the Casey’s General Store on the outskirts of the City of Perry. Infante details that 61-year-old Brian Terry, of Des Moines, was driving a semi-truck eastbound on Iowa Highway 141 at Sumas Avenue when a 2016 Ford Edge, driven by 81-year-old Billie Wilson, of Jamaica, traveling northbound failed to yield pulling into the intersection and collided with Terry’s semi-truck.
Semi Pulling Livestock Trailer Flipped Over in Guthrie County
(Guthrie Co) A semi-tractor pulling a livestock trailer with 167 hogs was involved in an accident in Guthrie County Wednesday afternoon. The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old Christopher Boggan, of York New Salem, Pennsylvania, was driving the 2001 Peterbilt southbound on Frontier Road and ran a stop sign while attempting to turn right onto White Pole Road. Boggan told Deputies he did not know the road ended. He lost control of the semi, which flipped over onto the driver’s side, losing some of the load.

Denison man escaped injury during a rollover accident in Guthrie County
(Guthrie Center, Iowa) – The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office says a Crawford County man escaped injury during a rollover accident early Sunday morning. In their report issued today (Thursday), the Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Jose Angel Reyes-Mendoza, of Denison, was driving a 2006 Honda Accord southbound on Chestnut Road at around 5:40-a.m., when he swerved to miss a deer on the road. The car went out of control and ended-up in the west ditch, where it rolled over and came to rest on its wheels.

The Perry Police Department was recently given new equipment during a special presentation. Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn was a part of the “Tour de Shield616 Minnesota Ride”, which consisted of a five-day bike ride across the northern state. The organization held a presentation at Hotel Pattee on July 24th to honor the Perry Police Department with armor plated gear. Shield616 Founder & President Jake Skifstad notes that Shield616 comes from the biblical verse of Ephesians 6:16, saying “In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one.”
