    Home Talent: Local 9 pounded by Reedsburg

    The Reedsburg Pirates jumped all over Waunakee early on in a 16-4 Home Talent League drubbing of the Local 9 on Sunday.

    Plating four runs in the first inning, two in the second and two more in the third, the Pirates moved out to an 8-0 lead, before breaking it open with five runs in the fifth inning.

    Logan Sullivan and Wyatt Molitor did most of the damage, combining to drive in nine runs for Reedsburg. Molitor homered and doubled for the Pirates.

    Jarrett Fueger led the way for Waunakee, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. He had a home run in the loss. Shea DuCharme and Luke Shepski also had RBIs, as DuCharme, Misha Capaul, Riley Ripp, Henry Pitsch and Jeff Thomasen recorded hits. Thomasen also walked three times.

    Blake Bieri took the loss on the mound, allowing five earned runs in two innings. He walked one and struck out one. Ripp, DuCharme, Wade Farmer, Edward Calvo and Jack Shepski also pitched for Waunakee, now 4-3 on the season.

    On July 4, the Local 9 hosts Ashton, before traveling to Plain on Sunday.
