Spotlighters to present final show of the season

The Barron Spotlighters theater group will be putting on their final performances of their 2023-2024 season with the comedy “...In the Time of Old Age” at the Barron Area Community Center. The shows will be April 18- 21 with the Thursday, Friday and Saturday shows all at 7:30 p.m. and the Sunday show at 2:30 p.m.

“...In the Time of Old Age” is a story about two elderly gentlemen who are also war veterans. Neither of them have much time left, but they unexpectedly come into a major fortune worth millions of dollars. With their newfound wealth, things have changed and they now want to pull off a sting of a bank manager with the help of a young lawyer.

This is a comedy written by Gordon Carruth, a Canadian playwrite/composer who won the Canadian national ACTRA award. He also wrote the play “I Am Not a Legend” about famed Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi that the Spotlighters performed several years ago.

Advance tickets can be purchased through the Spotlighters website at barronspotlighters.org, or can be purchased at the box office the day of performances.
