Red Cedar Symphony to present free summer pops concert

The Red Cedar Symphony invites the public on a musical journey across generations and genres at the free summer pops concert on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 7 p.m. at Veteran’s Park in Rice Lake.

Experience a captivating blend of Looney Tunes classics, Broadway show tunes, iconic movie themes and more. Embrace the longing for frontier life on the open range with "Cowboy Fantasy" by Bill Holcomb and the soundtrack from the Broadway hit "Oklahoma!." Revisit childhood animation with the familiar music of beloved Bugs Bunny. Be enchanted by Harry Potter and Phantom of the Opera and sink into “Summertime” with this classic Gershwin tune. These, along with other selections, offer something for everyone.

Under the baton of Adam Bever, this musical journey aims to keep those attending humming the tunes all week long. Bring the family for an enjoyable evening with the Red Cedar Symphony.

The local Golden Kiwanis will be selling snacks during intermission.
