Burnsville man killed in crash on I-35W in Richfield

A driver was killed in a crash on Interstate 35W in Richfield Friday night.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol a Toyota Tacoma was traveling south on I-35W at around 11:15 p.m. when it hit the guardrail on the right shoulder of the 66th Street exit lane.

The Tacoma then crossed all lanes, hitting both a Toyota Prius and the left shoulder barrier. Both cars came to a rest on the left hand shoulder.

The driver of the Tacoma, identified as 35-year-old Eloy Saucedo Gonzalez, of Burnsville, was killed in the crash. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, according to the State Patrol.

Both the driver and passenger of the Prius were uninjured.
