Gray’s Pet Supply Opens In Washington
The grand opening of Gray’s Pet Supply, located at 208 S Marion Ave, Washington, was held on July 23rd. Owned by Whitney Gray, who has a long history of serving the community through her home business, Gray Canine Rescue and Rehab, this new downtown location will now offer a variety of pet supplies. They will be offering continuous silent auctions for pet supplies. Every week, patrons can bid on items, and 50% of the proceeds will be donated to local nonprofits. This week’s auction closes on today, and the funds will go to support Paws & More Animal Shelter in Washington.
Inaugural Movie In The Park In Keota Tonight
Thanks to a recent grant, the City of Keota will hold its first Movie in the Park Friday evening. Tonight’s showing is the 2023 film Wonka. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the movie will be in Wilson Park, located between Fulton Street and Green Street on the south side of Keota. Admission is free, but there will be popcorn, candy, and slushies available for purchase.
Fairfield Arts & Convention Center Presents Jenny Sammons In Free Outdoor Concert Series
Tonight, the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center presents another installment in its Free Summer Outdoor Concert Series. This is the fourth summer that the Center has held these concerts, which feature local artists. Executive Director Lindsay Bauer, described to KCII tonight’s performer, Jenny Sammons. “Jenny Sammons brings her soulful, sunny, kinda singer/songwriter, very smooth, very fun voice to us with a four or five-piece band. She is also based right here in Fairfield. She’s a visual artist as well as a musician, so we are excited to get to have her on our stage.”
Good News Singers Concert Tomorrow
Join the Grace Community Church as they present the Good News Singers on Sunday, July 28th from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Good News Singers is an a cappella singing group at Harding University. The group performs a variety of uplifting spiritual songs for churches and other organizations across the country. Specializing in close harmony and soul stirring arrangements, the Good News Singers lead worship and praise assemblies for all ages. Their repertoire includes hymns, southern gospel songs, spirituals, contemporary Christian and original tunes. Admission is free for this concert.
