Call Center Will Now Be Open on Weekends Starting Saturday, July 6, 2024. Providence, Rhode Island… The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is pleased to announce the expansion of its Customer Service Call Center hours. Beginning Saturday, July 6, 2024, the Call Center will now be open on weekends to better serve its passengers. The new hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1PM to 4PM.
