Man dies after being found on ground among two other men with gunshot wounds in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The man who died after he was found lying on the ground among two other men with gunshot wounds Saturday evening has been identified by police.

The man was identified by police as 36-year-old Robert Allen of Prince George County.

At 11:29 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 00 block of of West Broad Street for the report of a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found three men down on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds.

Two men were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The third man, Allen, was taken to a local hospital where police said he died due to his injury.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
