Bettendorf motorcyclist seriously injured in Scott County crash
A Bettendorf motorcyclist who has not been identified was injured Thursday night in Scott County, according to a news release from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office. About 7:30 p.m., the Scott Emergency Communication Center received a call of a motorcycle accident at the intersection of 115th Avenue and New Liberty Road. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and an investigation was conducted.

Midwest Great Debate: A Magical Week of Learning and Growth at Augustana College
From July 2nd to July 7th, 2024, Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, transformed into a hub of intellectual rigor and cultural exchange as it hosted the 20th annual Midwest Great Debate (MWGD) under the National Hispanic Institute (NHI). During the six-day event students will participate in debates and speeches intended to improve their speaking skills and word management while working together to win prizes.
