    Narcotics arrest in Riverton following search warrant execution

    CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. (KOAM) - The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office executed a narcotics-related search warrant leading to the arrest of two individuals on allegations of possession.

    According to authorities, the search warrant was executed just after 3:00 pm on Monday, July 22, on Southeast Varck Road in the Riverton area. This action was part of an ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in the region.

    During the search, investigators seized suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia consistent with distribution.

    Two individuals were arrested at the scene, 41-year-old Brandon Lewis was taken to the Cherokee County Jail on two outstanding warrants for possessing a controlled substance and failure to pay child support.

    The other individual, who's identity is restricted, was transported to the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of possessing cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
