    One killed in three-vehicle crash in Gates County

    CORAPEAKE – A three-vehicle accident near here Thursday morning claimed the life of a Gates County man.

    Travis Glover, age 19 of Hobbsville, was killed in the mishap on NC 32, near its intersection with Daniels Road.

    The wreck occurred shortly before 7 a.m.

    In the accident report, North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Z. Mize said that Glover was operating a Jeep SUV north on NC 32. His vehicle reportedly crossed the center line and collided with a southbound Dodge pick up truck driven by 34-year-old Daniel Cruz Morales Zunun of Suffolk, VA.

    Following the collision, Glover’s vehicle traveled off the roadway and overturned. Zunun’s truck came to rest off the roadway where it was struck by a Ford van driven by 41-year-old Dante Green of Prince George, VA.

    Green’s vehicle was northbound on NC 32 at the time of the accident.

    After striking Zunun’s truck, the van overturned and impacted Glover’s SUV, according to the NCHP report.

    The report noted that Glover died at the scene. Green was injured and was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Zunun was reportedly uninjured.
