Two teenagers were shot early Friday morning in northwest Rochester, according to police.

A 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl were each shot in the upper body on Aab Street early Friday, said Lt. Jeremy Robinson of the Rochester Police Department. Officers were called to nearby Karnes Street around 3:45 a.m. to investigate a ShotSpotter alert.

They found the two teens nearby, both having suffered injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, he said. The girl was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment and the boy was treated at the scene, Robinson said.

Aab Street is a residential road in northwest Rochester, just west of Dewey Avenue and near Otis Street.

Officers are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
