ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — For this GRE WHY ROC segment we’re talking about jobs and filling those jobs.

This effort is all through the Monroe County and Genesee Valley pre-apprenticeship programs that train students to address this need of the community. Students are graduating with 96 hours of training and more than 100 hours of on-the-job experience.

These are two major steps toward the completion of a registered apprenticeship.

To learn more about their programs and the career opportunities in these fields, check out the rest of this interview Sunrise anchor Brennan Somers had with Bob Coyne with the Rochester Technology & Manufacturing Association and Chris Suozzi from the Genesee County Economic Development Center.
