Woman dead after hit-and-run in Rochester parking lot

A 46-year-old woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle in a Rochester parking lot Thursday night.

Just before midnight, officers responded to a parking lot in the 400 block of West Avenue for the report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who has not been identified.

The woman was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment but died from her injuries, according to Rochester Police Capt. Adam Radens.

Radens said the vehicle fled the scene before police arrived.

No further information was immediately available.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
