ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Nijir Rahn, 18, for allegedly invading a woman’s house and threatening her with a firearm.

On June 16th, around 2:20 a.m., police responded to the 1300 block of Evelyn Street for a call of an emergency involving a man. When officials arrived, they saw the victim’s gray 2014 Hyundai Sonata’s windshield broken and two broken windows on the house, according to court records.

The woman said the suspect was dropped off in a gold GMC and knocked on the door, according to court documents. The victim told authorities she did not answer the door, so Rahn kicked the door in.

The suspect entered the residence, punched her and pointed a firearm at her, the victim told officials. The woman ran upstairs and called 911 to explain that Rahn was breaking everything in the residence, according to court records.

Rahn is being charged with domestic battery with bodily harm, criminal trespassing while a person is present, home invasion causing injury and property damage.
