ROCKINGHAM — Both of Richmond County’s race tracks will be roaring this weekend.

MB Drift returns to Rockingham Speedway for Summer Vibes, its inaugural Summer Matsuri.

The event will feature two days drifting on multiple layouts on the track’s infield road course, with the action starting at 1 p.m.

On Saturday, there will also be drift games, a crazy shirt contest and night drifting. The track goes hot at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Free ride-alongs will be available all weekend for spectators 18 and older.

MB Drift will be back at the Rock Aug. 24-25 for the third and fourth competitive rounds of the season, before ending the year Oct. 19-20 with Halloween Havoc.

Carolina No Time brings small tire racing back to Rockingham Dragway starting Friday night and the action continues on Saturday with a car, truck and bike show, grudge racing.

The event will also include a showdown between Justin Swanstrom of “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” in his car “Prenup” and David Brinkley in “Patriot,” no stranger to the Rock. Brinkley won the small tire class in the 252 March Madness event in 2023. Click here to read more from that event.

The track goes hot at 7 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

“Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” returns to the dragway Oct. 11-12. Click here to read more.
