    CT man dies after being ejected from vehicle on Interstate 91

    A Portland man has died after he was ejected from the car he was in when it collided with a guardrail on Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill, officials said .

    State police troopers with Troop-H in Hartford responded to reports of a crash just before 3 a.m. on Saturday near Exit 24 on Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill. State police said that a 2008 Nissan Versa for an unknown reason veered into the right shoulder and collided with a metal guardrail.

    State police said 44-year-old Marcos Benitez Rengifo was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

    Police said a 2018 Acura TLX also collided with the Nissan and came to rest in the right shoulder. The driver of the Acura was not injured and declined medical treatment, according to police.
