Truck explosion destroys residential sound wall along NJ Route 3
CLIFTON â A truck explosion obliterated a sound barrier along Route 3 and melted the siding of a house Monday morning. Route 3 was closed in both directions where the highway meets Route 46 and passes over Valley Road in Clifton after the tractor-trailer went up in flames around 9 a.m. The highway remained closed as of 11:45 a.m.

NJ woman sues Wawa after falling into dangerous hole
FLORENCE â A woman who says she fell into an open manhole in a Wawa parking lot has filed a lawsuit against the company. Courtney Barlow, 20, of Ewing, said she suffered permanent injury after the fall in the Route 130 store parking on Oct. 22, 2023, according to the lawsuit, which NJ.com first reported this week.

SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Ubuntu Cultural Pavilion will host the "Roots and Wings Walking Tour" and explore Somervilleâs rich history of the pre-Civil War African American community through the early 1900s on Saturday, Aug. 3. The tour begins at the Somerville Middle School, 51 W. Man arrested after 16-year-old finds his mother stabbed to death
EDISON, N.J. (TCN) -- A 37-year-old man faces charges in connection with the stabbing death of a woman whose 16-year-old son found her body. According to the Middlesex County Prosecutorâs Office, on Sunday, July 21, Edison Police responded to a report of a stabbing. Officers found 37-year-old Lizbeth Benitez-Rivera with stab wounds, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

24 Year Old Edison Man Dies in Saturday's Stafford Township Motor Vehicle Crash
STAFFORD - On July 20, 2024, at approximately 7:45 PM, a motor vehicle collision took place on State Highway 72 eastbound near mile 24.5, involving two passenger vehicles. A 2018 Subaru, driven by Justin Layer, 26, from Barnegat, was traveling east on Highway 72 when a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette, driven by Kevin Scoda, 24, from Edison, New Jersey, collided with him. Scoda's vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a utility pole, while it was engulfed in flames.
