Three Men Arrested for Stealing a Tractor in Windsor
Three men are facing charges in connection to the theft of a tractor in Windsor. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested Refugio Carrillo, Rodrigo Lopez and Damian Rosales last week Monday. The three are accused of stealing a Kubota Skid Steer tractor last month along with some building materials. Police were patrolling Cross Creek Road in Santa Rosa when they spotted the stolen tractor.
Heat Advisory in Effect Today Through Sunday for Most of the Bay Area and Northern California
A dangerous new heat wave is hitting California this holiday week. The Excessive Heat Warning begins Tuesday and lasts through Sunday evening with many places baking in temperatures 20-degrees above average. Santa Rosa is set to reach a high of 106 degrees today. Napa is expected to reach a high of 104. Triple digit temperatures and very warm overnight lows are expected into the weekend in the North Bay mountains and interior valleys. The region is facing heightened wildfire risk due strong northerly winds and low humidity. Forecasters also warn heat stroke is a real possibility especially as millions in California plan to be outside celebrating the Fourth of July.
Former Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli Getting Sued by His Brother
Joe Foppoli, chief operating officer of Christoper Creek Winery in Healdsburg, is pursuing a wrongful termination claim against the business and his brother, former Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli. An attorney for Joe Foppoli said Monday that he was fired after raising concerns about mismanagement in the company. Dominic Foppoli previously served as chief executive officer of the winery but was forced to step aside and resign as mayor in 2021 after nine women accused him of sexual assault or misconduct.

Swift Response From Santa Rosa Firefighters Quells Vegetation Fire, Investigation Underway Into Potential Fireworks Cause
Residents in Santa Rosa had a brief scare as the Santa Rosa Fire Department and Santa Rosa Police were called to the scene of a vegetation fire yesterday afternoon. According to their Facebook page, the fire occurred at the dead-end of Moraga Drive shortly before 2:30 p.m., charring a modest 50 by 50-foot swath of grass before the crews from the first arriving fire engine were able to swiftly subdue the blaze.
Power outage in the East Bay affecting thousands
Thousands in the East Bay are without power on Tuesday, according to PG&E. The power outage is affecting residents in Castro Valley, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Dublin. At least 11,214 residents are without power, and there is currently no estimated time for when power will be restored.
