Roger Wood’s Podcast: NH Childcare Centers Finally Get Promised Checks
It took a year, but childcare centers in New Hampshire qualifying for state funds have finally received them. The legislature appropriated $15 million for hiring and retention help for childcare workers. The money was finally released after 287 child care executives wrote to the state Department of Health and Human Services requesting the distribution. Cora Hoppe, who runs the Rochester Child Care Center, spoke to podcast producer Roger Wood about the issues that the funds will help solve.
