CENTERVILLE TOPS AREA SCHOOLS FOR PERCENTAGE OF COLLEGE-READY JUNIORS
(Centerville, IN)--SAT results have been released for students who were high school juniors in the spring. According to the state’s new numbers, 284 students at Richmond took the SAT. Of those, 134, or just shy of half, fell below the benchmark of being deemed to be college-ready. 43% tested as being college-ready. Elsewhere across the Whitewater Valley, the highest percentage of college-ready high school juniors was in Centerville, with 66% ready based on their SAT results. Randolph Southern was on the other end of the spectrum, with 30% ready.

The 2024 Summer Pacers residency in Las Vegas came to a perhaps merciful end on Saturday after they managed to win just one of their five games in the NBA Summer League. They were one of just six teams in the event to win one game or fewer with three squads going winless. They committed more turnovers − a gruesome 21.6 per game − than any other team in the event and also committed the third most fouls with 23.4 per game. Their offensive execution was mediocre across the board as they averaged 90.2 points per game on 42.5% shooting, including 31.0% from 3-point range and their defense wasn't any better.
