Federal Program Provides Harrison Public School Free Summer 2024 Lunch
This summer, Harrison Public Schools is launching a Free Summer Lunch Program for local children, running from Monday, July 8, 2024, through Thursday, August 1, 2024. The program will be held at Washington Middle School, located at 1 North 5th Street, Harrison, NJ. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Access to the lunch program will be through the main entrance of the school.

Two Newark high school students placed in the top five of the 2024 National Speech & Debate Tournament, a competition that drew more than 6,700 students from 1,500 high school across the country. Local High School Students Awarded Scholarships for Advocacy and Support of Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation
NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – Seven New Jersey high school students were awarded scholarships from the Sharing Network Foundation for their passion and dedication to raising awareness of organ and tissue donation and transplantation. The 2024 graduates were presented with their scholarship awards at NJ Sharing Network’s headquarters in New Providence. The Sharing Network Foundation’s scholarships are made possible thanks to several of the organization’s family and partner funds: Hearts for Emma Partner Fund - created in celebration of Emma Rothman’s lifesaving heart transplant to support high school education and donation advocacy efforts. Record Number of Livingston Students Accepted to Region and All State Chorus
LIVINGSTON, NJ — During the 2023-2024 school year, the Livingston High School (LHS) Choir Program had a record number of singers accepted into the New Jersey Music Educators Association’s (NJMEA) Region (23) and All-State Chorus (14). These students competed via audition against singers from all over the North Jersey region, as well as the entire state, to gain admittance into these prestigious ensembles. Nutley HS boys volleyball team spikes down another successful season
NUTLEY, NJ — The Nutley High School boys volleyball team enjoyed another successful season. Under head coach Kevin Reilly, the Raiders finished with a 15-8 overall record, including finishing in second place in the Super Essex Conference–Colonial Division with a 7-3 divisional record. They also were the No. 6 seed in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association’s North Jersey, Group 2 state sectional tournament.
