Summer in New Jersey is all about fun in the sun. At no point is anyone thinking about Christmas at such an early point in the year. Well, maybe except for Christmas in July. Lucky lottery player in New Jersey just won $4 million — was it you?

Officials with the New Jersey Lottery said there was one second-tier prizewinning Mega Millions ticket sold for the Tuesday, July 23rd, drawing that matched all five white balls, winning $1,000,000. Townsquare Media has found a buyer for a New Jersey AM it took off the air last December, which at the time was blamed on ongoing issues with the night-time antenna system for sports “920 ESPN New Jersey” WNJE Trenton, NJ. Those problems are said to be resolved, but the operations will soon pass into the hands of a new owner. Edwin Andrade’s Voice Radio Network has struck a $133,000 deal to buy WNJE.

N.J. city dedicates firehouses to 2 killed in port blaze
A pair of firefighters killed battling a blaze aboard a ship at Port Newark last summer were honored Tuesday with the renaming of two firehouses in their memory. The latest tribute to Newark Fire Division Captains Augusto Acabou and Wayne Brooks Jr. comes just over a year after their deaths on July 5, 2023, aboard the Grande Costa D’Avorio, a cargo ship bound for Africa loaded with 1,200 junked cars and trucks.
