A New Jersey man was killed Sunday after the motorcycle he was riding crashed, causing him to be thrown off and be hit by a car, authorities said. Alexander Teshima Chong, 45, of Belleville in Essex County, was traveling with a group of motorcyclists on Route 1 north in Edison at 8:15 p.m. Sunday when the collision happened, according to Edison Police Chief Tom Bryan.

Burglary Suspect Flees Sunset Park Home After Resident Yells
On July 23, 2024, a resident in Montclair’s Sunset Park neighborhood reported that he was asleep on the second floor of his home when he observed someone outside of his bedroom door with a flashlight. The resident yelled at the suspect who in turn fled downstairs and out of the house. It appears as though the suspect made entry through a first-floor window.
