Far Rockaway Burglary Suspect Fights with Arresting Officers, According to Officials
The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of a Far Rockaway man for an Assault that occurred on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 7:08 a.m. in Island Park. According to Detectives, Officers responded to a residence on Kildare Road for a Burglary. Officers located the subject in the vicinity of Long Beach Road and Carolina Avenue. They attempted to place defendant Malik Hodge, 28, of 314 Beach 45th Street, into custody. One Officer sustained injuries during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest. The Officer was transported to a local area hospital for treatment and evaluation. The defendant was also transported to a local area hospital.
