A Saco man was killed in a crash involving two vehicles in the York County town of Hollis on Tuesday evening.

The crash was reported at around 5:30 p.m., in the area of 661 Cape Road, according to Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss.

A 2004 Dodge Ram, driven by 60-year-old Sean Foley of Lyman, had been southbound when a northbound 2008 Impreza turned into the opposing lane to make a turn. The Impreza, driven by 28-year-old Emily Rea of Saco, was struck by Foley who could not avoid Rea’s vehicle.

A passenger in the Impreza, Troy Tanguay, 51, of Saco, received fatal injuries and died at the scene of the crash.

Rea was transported to Maine Medical Center with minor injuries. Foley was not injured.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
