Three-time felon sentenced after being found with firearm in Rosebud Reservation
PIERRE – A St. Francis man convicted of Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm has been sentenced. On January 1, 2023, police were searching for Tyson Quigley, 35, also known as Tyson Stands, near St. Francis within the boundaries of the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation. The search was based on an alleged home invasion that occurred that morning in St. Francis.

Fourth of July Parade Results
Results of Fourth of July Parade sponsored by Liberty Fireworks, Zach and Cindy Dean. In the Commercial division, the winner was Henderson’s IGA. In the community or group division the winner was the Valentine Swim Team and the individual category was won by the Roth Family float. Each of the winners will be receiving $50 in chamber bucks from Liberty Fireworks. Many of the spectators for the parade also made it a point to check out the new Veterans memorials at the Justice Center. An official dedication of the memorials will be held later. North Platte Municipal Band performs at Cody for 4th of July concert
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte Municipal Band performed a 4th of July Extravaganza show at Cody Park. The show was free to attend, and the group performed many patriotic songs such as “Yankee Doodle Dandy,” “This Land Is Your Land,” and other catchy songs that many love. The North Platte Municipal Band has members ranging from 15 years old to people in their mid-80s.

(Valentine, NE) – Multiple media outlets report a man from Arkansas was arrested Wednesday in connection with a fatal, hit-and-run bicycling event that left a Pottawattamie County (IA) man dead. 35-year-old Adam Earl Joe Cooper, of Arkansas, is charged with felony motor vehicle homicide and leaving the scene of accident, in the death of 82-year-old Larry Lynn Covalciuc, from Council Bluffs.
St. Francis Man Gets Prison Sentence For Assault
(St. Francis, SD) — A St. Francis man has been sentenced to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to assault charges. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 25-year-old Charles Cordier will also have three years of supervised release. Cordier was charged after hitting a man with a bar last February.
