Interstate 44 near Rolla is still deteriorating; MoDOT officials say a fix is on the way
DOOLITTLE, Mo. (KY3) - Interstate 44, just west of Rolla, is buckling. MoDOT officials said a fix is finally coming. We’ve told you about this problem in past coverage. It’s the stretch of highway between the Doolittle and Sugartree exits. We’ve reported that this specific part of I-44 is buckling due to the heat, but MoDOT officials said it could be due to multiple factors.

SECOND UPDATE: UPDATED: Charges now reduced for St. Robert man facing five charges related to the death of his neighbor
SECOND UPDATE: Court documents now say Tyron Spence-Bey pleaded guilty to first-degree involuntary manslaughter and unlawful possession of a firearm by a dangerous felon. Spence-Bey was sentenced to ten years on the manslaughter charge and three years on the possession charge. The sentences will run back-to-back for a total of 13 years.

Funeral services for Brother Terry Hansen, age 73, will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 11 AM in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home with Brother Frank Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Monday, July 22, 2024 starting at 5 PM until 7 PM in the chapel of Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home.
St. Robert man seriously injured at Lake of the Ozarks
A St. Robert man was injured Monday, July 15, resulting from a mishap at Lake of the Ozarks, according to an online report of Troop F of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Michael G. Miller, 49, received serious injured when a 2023 G3 Tritoon, operated by Jason P. Peace, 44, of Crocker, struck a wave while pulling a tube, causing three skiers to be ejected. Miller was transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment.
