UPDATE: The Laclede County Sheriff’s Office say Christopher Martinez has been located. The Laclede County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Endangered Silver Advisory for missing Lebanon man. The Laclede County Sheriff’s Department says 67-year-old Christopher Martinez went missing Tuesday morning. He was going south on Highway A-A.
Missouri woman accused of spiking husband’s Mountain Dew with Roundup
LEBANON, Missouri – A woman in Missouri has been arrested, accused of spiking her husband’s Mountain Dew with the chemical herbicide Roundup. Michelle Peters, 47, of Lebanon, MO, is being held without bond at the Laclede County Detention Center. She is charged with first degree domestic assault and armed criminal action.

Gourd festival is this weekend
The Show Me Gourd Annual Festival will be this weekend and will host gourd artists and their creations from across the country. The festival will be closed to society members on Friday but open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. “We just want to get the news out about gourds and what you can do with them,” Show Me Gourd Society President Madonna Watermon said. Missouri Woman Accused of Poisoning Husband
A Missouri woman stands accused of attempting to poison her husband. 47-year-old Michelle Peters of Lebanon, MO, has been arrested for allegedly trying to poison her husband by putting Round Up in his Mountain Dew. The LaClede County Sheriff's Office stated in a probable cause warrant that in May, video footage shows Peters taking a two liter of Mountain Dew from a garage refrigerator and also picking up a container of Round Up. She then returned to soda pop to the refrigerator. The victim later stated that his drink tasted funny and complained of a sore throat, nausea, and vomiting.

A wide span of generations headed out from the Licking Senior Center a little after 9 o’clock Saturday morning for a journey down the back roads southeast of Licking. Participants packed picnic lunches, which they enjoyed during their break at Saltpeter Cave. Giveaways were awarded during the ride, with winners picking up their prizes upon their return.

Ted J. Minnis, 59, of Eldridge, died Sunday, June 23, 2024, in Lebanon. He is survived by a son, Joseph Zumwalt of Elk City, Calif. and a sister, Mary Gomez of Oklahoma City, Okla. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

Richard Henry Meyer, age 95, of Columbia formerly of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at Harry S. Truman VA Memorial Hospital in Columbia. He was born in Evanston, Illinois, on December 15, 1928, son of the late Walter and Laurel (Doremus) Meyer. On March 1, 1969, Richard was united in marriage to Janet Tharp, who survives at their home.
