St. Simons Island — The Georgia Section of the PGA of America announces the South Chapter Georgia PGA Play Yellow Birdie Bash, a golf event on Sept. 24 at Frederica Golf Club, 100 Pike’s Bluff Drive, St. Simons Island. The tournament is an opportunity for PGA of America Professionals to make a positive impact beyond the golf course.

Commencing with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, 30 Georgia PGA of America Professionals will play 72 holes in a two-man team scramble format. Their goal is to make as many birdies as possible with the collective objective of raising $75,000 for PGA REACH Georgia (previously known as the Georgia PGA Foundation) and local South Georgia children’s hospitals.
