One killed in July 4 shooting near St. Stephen boat landing

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD)- The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is investigating a deadly shooting that happened near a boat landing on Thursday.

According to authorities, deputies responded to the 1100 block of Arrowhead Road in the St. Stephen area shortly after 9:30 p.m. in reference to an altercation with shots fired.

One person was found dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds, BCSO said.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 32-year-old Jonah Price.

The shooting remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office immediately.
