Have the San Antonio Spurs had any traction in their effort to trade for Utah Jazz star forward Lauri Markkanen of late? For a while earlier in the offseason, it seemed as if San Antonio’s front office might really be in the thick of the scrum posting up to add the Finnish assassin to their roster.

But since then, the Golden State Warriors seem to be in a better spot to pull off such a deal at the same time rumbles of the Spurs being involved began to calm down. Is this the quiet before the fireworks go off in San Antonio?
