Draymond Green Reveals Heartbreaking Eight-Word Message About Klay Thompson's Warriors Exit

    By Grant Young,

Monday marked the end of an iconic era for the Golden State Warriors.

Longtime Warriors guard Klay Thompson is ending his 13-year and four NBA Championship-winning run at Golden State in favor of a three year, $50 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks.

The entire Bay Area is shaken up knowing that Klay will no longer be repping their team. But nobody is feeling this loss more than Klay's longtime teammates, Steph Curry and Draymond Green.

Steph Curry shared a heartfelt message over social media after news of Klay's signing on Monday.

And on Tuesday, Green delivered his own depressing message.

During a recent episode of his "The Draymond Green Show" podcast, Green shared an eight-word sentiment about no longer being Thompson's teammate.

"I think I might have dropped a couple tears," Green said.

It is going to be a strange sight for Warriors fans (and everybody else in or following the NBA) to see Thompson in something other than a Warriors jersey next season.

But at least he'll have more opportunities to compete for a fifth NBA championship with the Mavericks before he calls it a career.
