    Two Quake Academy players selected for MLS Next All-Star game

    ( KRON ) – The San Jose Earthquakes Quakes Academy Under-17 players Tomo Allen and Rohan Rajagopal were selected for the Major League Soccer Next All-Star game, the team announced on Tuesday.

    The MLS Next All-Star game aims to show North America's top young players.

    At 16 years of age, Allen has scored 26 goals this season. The forward was ranked the No. 4 overall player in the Northern California/Hawaii region for the Class of 2025 by the Top Drawer Soccer website.

    Holding midfielder Rajagopal was ranked the No. 1 overall player in the Northern California/Hawaii region for the Class of 2026 by the Top Drawer Soccer website. Before playing for the Earthquakes' second team, the 17-year-old was the captain of that U-17 team.

    The Quakes Academy U-17 head coach Steven Sosa expressed pride in the Tomo and Rohan. Sosa said, "This prestigious opportunity is well-deserved, and they have truly earned it through their hard work and dedication. Their selection is not only a personal achievement but also a testament to the quality and strength of the San Jose Earthquakes Academy. Congratulations, Tomo and Rohan!"

    This is the third annual MLS NEXT All-Star game. This year's match will be at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 23. Admission is free and the audience who cannot make it to the Midwest can stream on MLS’s website.
