The San Jose Sharks just completed their 2024 Development Camp, and No. 1 Macklin Celebrini was the center of attention.

Fans packed Tech CU Arena for the scrimmage, and while Celebrini didn't score a goal, his game shifted as Team White came from behind late in the last period.

Celebrini assisted on the sixth and seventh goals for Team White.

"It's been amazing. Meeting all the staff, I mean, the draft was very busy, and I've met a lot of people, and a lot of it I forget," Celebrini said. "Actually getting here and putting names to faces and really creating that relationship is really cool. Creating that relationship with the fans as well, it's really exciting."

During the player introductions, Celebrini got the loudest ovation of any player.

"It's amazing. Obviously, there's a lot of excitement here. I mean, with the group we have, the guys you've already interviewed, the group we have in that locker room [there are] a lot of young guys, and we're growing here together," Celebrini said. "It's a super exciting time, and I'm thrilled to see where this thing goes.

Despite having had a lot of media for an extended time, Celebrini has repeatedly handled it with ease. He even said the attention isn't overwhelming.

"You got to put it all in perspective. This is why we play. We love the game, and we try to be the best we can be. This is what we've been dreaming of ever since we were little kids, to get to this level and play in the NHL one day," Celebrini explained. "I feel like we were just trying to enjoy it and our whole group. We're all just having fun with it."

The future NHL star was not asked about his decision, and rightfully so. Celebrini told the media on Tuesday that his decision would come "soon after camp." Now, the waiting game begins to see if he will sign with the Sharks or return to Boston University for one more season.
