John Bulmer is a photo historian and commercial photographer. He travels to antique shops and flea markets, to archive buildings and libraries to find photos from the 1800s and 1900s. He then adds color and light, and tries to restore them to show what the world looked like when they were taken.

The Palace Theatre’s Summer in the City Movie Series, presented by Broadview Federal Credit Union will again offer eight free, family-friendly movies to children and families from neighborhoods around the Palace in downtown Albany, with targeted outreach to low-income and underserved families in the City. The movie series provides children with the opportunity to enjoy the excitement and beauty of the historic Palace Theatre, while offering fun, safe and positive opportunities to become engaged in the arts. For this series, the theatre opens one hour prior to showtime for fun & educational activities.

Runners complete 159-mile mission for Juneteenth
Angelo Maddox Jr. and his Cap City Runners set out to run 159 miles for the 159th Juneteenth, and they accomplished that mission. Maddox Jr. invited people to join him on the running challenge. Each mile represented the journey to freedom for African Americans, and how that journey continues today.
