Man shot and killed in downtown on Broadway
CAPE GIRARDEAU Mo. (KBSI) – On July 14 near 417 Broadway in downtown Cape a man by the name of Linard Thomas was shot and killed around 12:30 am. Signs of violence are still visible as several drops of blood scatter the side walk. The video on screen is the exclusive video from the crime scene early Sunday morning. Officers gathered to the scene and roped off the scene with yellow crime scene tape.
Two teenagers arrested on robbery charges in Cape Girardeau, MO
CAPE GIRARDEAU (MO) – Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the 3400 Block of William after reports of a suspicious person on July 12 at 12:30 a.m. When arriving to the scene officers found 19-year-old Scott Taylor from Jackson, MO who appeared to be unconscious from an apparent overdose. Taylor had a ski mask over his head and an AK47 style rifle laying over his arm. Officers removed the firearm from his person and placed Taylor in handcuffs. Medical personnel arrived on-scene and began to provide first aid. Taylor was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The firearm was loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition and capable of lethal force.
