Decision approaching on Missouri law to make celebratory gunfire illegal
PECULIAR, Mo. (KCTV) - With the Fourth of July approaching, some are getting excited to celebrate. Others are also dreading the bullets that come toward them or their homes. Last year, the Kansas City Police Department’s Shotspotter recorded 193 rounds of gunfire between 6 p.m. on July 3 and 6 a.m. on July 5. That only includes areas where Shotspotter technology is placed, so the number citywide is bound to be higher.
