St. Croix River causing problems in Stillwater...Mississippi River crested on Saturday
(Stillwater, MN) -- The St. Croix River in Stillwater is expected to crest at just over 88 feet due to heavy rain causing flooding, leading to road and parking lot closures. The city has implemented no-wake rules for boats and closed the historic Stillwater Lift Bridge. Local businesses, like Stillwater Trolley, have seen a decrease in foot traffic due to the flooding. While FEMA approved a federal disaster declaration for 22 Minnesota counties impacted by flooding, Washington County still needs to be included.
