The Italiano restaurant set to open in Scottsdale Sept. 20

A new restaurant from Chef Joey Maggiore is set to open soon in Scottsdale.

The Italiano will have its grand opening on Friday, September 20, at 9301 E. Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale. This will be the sixth culinary concept from The Maggiore Group in the Valley, according to a press release.

The 7,543 square-foot restaurant is adorned with limestone and olive trees and features traditional seating as well as an indoor patio. There will also be a private dining room with an art installation paying tribute to Maggiore’s late father, Tomaso Maggiore. Additionally, the restaurant includes a sky-painted ceiling where guests sit under a color-changing canvas that reflects the rising and setting of the sun. The restaurant’s art and layout was designed by Cristina Maggiore, Joey Maggiore’s wife.

“This is truly our best concept yet,” said Joey Maggiore, chef and co-founder of The Maggiore Group and Chef Joey Concepts. “We’re drawing inspiration from every corner of Italy to blend age-old traditions with innovative approaches. We can’t wait for you to experience our family’s heritage in a new and familiar way.”

The menu for The Italiano features authentic Italian dishes, as well as an antipasto cart with over 30 different items that guests can curate, according to the press release. There will also be a Limoncello cocktail cart and a Zabaione dessert cart.

The Italiano is currently hiring staff for various positions including servers, bussers, line cooks, dishwashers and more.
