While the Seattle Kraken and Minnesota Wild are keeping an eye on each other Saturday night at Climate Pledge Arena, don't be surprised if they also sneak peeks at the out of town scoreboard.

Minnesota and Seattle are among five teams, all within three points of each other, vying for the final Western Conference wild card spot. At the same moment the puck drops at CPA, two other contenders will begin road contests: Nashville in San Jose and Calgary in Edmonton.

The fifth team in the bunch, the St. Louis Blues, lost this afternoon in Detroit, 6-1.

Both the Kraken and Wild have impressive recent wins on their resume. Each has beaten the Canucks; the Wild also topped the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 Friday; the Kraken bested the Boston Bruins 4-1 on Feb. 15.

Pregame comments from Seattle coach Dave Hakstol and forwards Jared McCann and Tomas Tatar form today's Kraken Reaction video.
