Lakeridge’s Ansu Sanoe is committed to continue his football career at the University of Washington, the sophomore announced via social media on Thursday, April 4.

“Great coaching staff and I love the fact that it’s close to home,” Sanoe told Rivals. “I can’t wait to play for UW.”

Sanoe, a four-star recruit and the No. 11 running back in the class of 2026 according to 247Sports, helped his Pacers to the 6A quarterfinals in 2023, where they fell to eventual champion Central Catholic.

Only a sophomore, the future Husky was a second-team all-state selection.

Sanoe ultimately selected Washington over a lengthy list of other powerhouse programs, including Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Georgia, Miami, Oregon, Oregon State, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Now, the current Pacer already knows his future collegiate home with two more seasons in Lake Oswego on the horizon.
