The Seattle Kraken have selected Oliver Josephson with their fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

Standing 6'1, 190 lbs, the left-handed centreman scored 12 goals and 47 points in 68 games with Red Deer Rebels in the WHL. Not known for his offensive game, Josephson is a stout shutdown centreman with a great work ethic.

He reads the game extremely well which allows him to intercept passes and anticipate what his opponents want to do with the puck. Josephson was part of Canada's U-18 team that won Gold. In seven games he recorded three assists.

The Kraken have now selected four centremen and three of them have similar profiles. Smart, hardworking and defence-first forwards.
