Former Seattle Kraken winger Karson Kuhlman has signed with Lukko of Liiga, Finland's top professional league.

The 28-year-old spent parts of the 2021-22 season 2022-23 season with the Kraken where he scored three goals and 11 points in 39 games. He spent last year with the Bridgeport Islanders, the New York Islanders AHL affiliate.

The Boston Bruins signed Kuhlman to an entry-level contract after he completed four years at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, winning a National Championship as the Captain in his final year. His NCAA career showed signs of a possible bottom-six winger but Kuhlman was never able show it at a consistent level in the NHL.

Kuhlman will be joining a Lukko team that lost in the first round of the playoffs as the eighth seed.

The Esko, Minnesota native heads over to Europe with 147 games of NHL experience with the Kraken, Bruins and Winnipeg Jets and 146 games of AHL experience.
